After Easter comes the 50 (Pentecost) day countdown. Every day is designed to keep us focused on God. Loving God is not a pastime. Every day God has something for us to learn. We are in the process of becoming what we are in Jesus. Now it is true we don’t always "feel" the presence of God. That’s the point. We walk by faith, not by sight or sense. We can, however, give room consciously for the things of God. No need to get bent out of shape about it. When you remember, act." Seek the Lord and His strength, "But for me it is good to be near God" Always keep a Bible nearby. They make them quite small these days. Instead of playing dumb games on the net during a break, why not read the Bible online? I am not saying don’t EVER play a game but put first things first. (Mat 6:33) Psalms and Proverbs are the best to scan throughout the day. The relevance may startle you at times. Let's take a supernatural relevance test. Look up these verses and see if they have any meaning for you. Psalm 74:18 That’s just for starters. Once God’s word takes hold of your everyday life, you can’t get enough of it. Begin your journey today. The promises of God await you! Pastor Charlie | |||||||||||||||||||
